# Dura

> Dura is a shared cash envelope budget app for couples and households. Partners stuff labelled envelopes together, record spends from any phone and see each other's changes live. It is built for households that earn electronically (Payoneer, bank transfers, remittances) but spend physical US dollar cash, with Zimbabwe and its diaspora as the home audience. It runs in the browser and installs to the home screen. Free to start. Made by Muchiround.

Key facts:

- Shared households: two or more people, each with their own login, see the same envelopes and every spend as it happens.
- Envelopes with monthly budgets, one piggy bank with a savings goal, and IOUs between envelopes when one envelope's cash pays for another's spend.
- Cash in: records the electronic amount, the cash actually received and the exchange cost, then splits the cash across envelopes.
- Receipt scanning: snap a photo or PDF, attach it in the coach chat, or forward an emailed receipt to a private address. Every line is matched to an envelope and nothing is deducted until a person confirms.
- Cash counts reconcile the real notes in an envelope with the app, with a reason for any difference.
- An AI money coach answers questions from the household's own data only, and leaves a weekly insight every Monday.
- Stamps, piggy bank milestones (25, 50, 75 and 100 percent) and streaks make it a shared game. New members get a six-step "Learn the table" checklist and a "Table ready" sticker.
- Privacy: each household is sealed off from every other; receipt images open only for signed-in members through links that expire in minutes.
