These terms are an agreement between you and Kudapara Pty Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (registration number 2021/1861529/07), 21 Aquila Roos Street, Sandton, Johannesburg, 2191, South Africa ("we", "us"). Kudapara Pty Ltd also runs Muchiround. By creating a Dura account or using Dura, you agree to these terms. Please read them. The parts that matter most are in bold.

1. What Dura is

Dura helps a household plan and track its money with envelopes: what comes in, what goes into each envelope, what is spent, and what is saved. You can share a household with the people you live with, keep a private pocket that only you can see, scan receipts, and ask an AI money coach about your own records. You can also keep the book of a savings group (mukando) with people outside your household.

2. Your account

2.1 You must be 18 or older to open a Dura account. An adult may keep a private pocket to track an allowance for a child, but the child may not have their own login.

2.2 Give us a real email address and keep your password, sign-in links and API tokens to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account, unless someone used it because we failed to protect it.

2.3 If you sign in with Muchiround Visa, the Visa terms also apply to your Visa account.

3. Households and pockets

3.1 Everyone in a household sees all of that household's records: envelopes, balances, entries, notes, receipts, and who recorded what. Invite only people you want to see this. Your private pocket is visible only to you.

3.2 A household owner can invite and remove members, hand over ownership, and delete the household. Deleting a household permanently deletes its records for every member. Ask your household for an export before you leave if you want a copy, or download one yourself in Settings.

3.3 Enter only true records, and only about money you and your household deal with. Do not use Dura to record other people's information without their agreement.

4. Money records only

4.1 Dura keeps records. It does not handle money. Dura is a record-keeping tool. We do not receive, hold, transfer, pay out, invest or lend any money, and we do not accept deposits. All money stays with you and the people you deal with: in your hands, in envelopes, or in your own bank or mobile-money accounts. Balances in Dura are your own records, not money we hold for you.

4.2 Loans you record are between you and the other people involved. We are not a lender, borrower, guarantor, broker or agent for any loan, and we are not a party to any loan, savings group, rotation or share-out you record. We do not check whether anyone can afford a loan and we do not collect debts.

4.3 Savings groups are run by their members. Where Dura lets you record a savings group (mukando), the group decides its own rules, rate, payout order and keeper. A keeper records entries for the group by the members' agreement, not on our behalf. Members must confirm entries that involve them. Dura only shows what the group has recorded and confirmed.

4.4 Interest and the law. You, your household or your group choose any interest rate, and you are responsible for making sure it is lawful where you live. In Zimbabwe, the law limits the interest that any lender may charge, including a family member or a savings group. Interest above the limit cannot be recovered, the borrower can claim back what was paid above it, and charging it can be an offence for the lender. Dura shows the yearly equivalent of every rate and a warning above the limit, but it does not set rates or give legal or financial advice.

4.5 Only members. A group may lend only to its own members, from its own members' contributions. You must not use Dura to run a group that takes money from, or lends to, the public, or that promises returns to people who are not members.

4.6 Records are not proof of payment. Dura records what people enter and confirm. We do not check that any cash or transfer actually moved. Keep your own bank and mobile-money statements.

4.7 Disputes between household or group members are for the members to resolve. We may suspend a household or group that breaks section 4.5 or these terms.

4.8 Keepers and members of a savings group. Only people the keeper invites can join a group, and a group has at most 30 members. The keeper records entries for the group and must record only what actually happened. Members confirm or dispute the entries that involve them. Use what you see about other members only for the group's affairs, including in any tool you connect to Dura. You can leave a group before its first cycle starts or after a cycle has closed. You can withdraw your agreement or close your account at any time, and the Privacy Notice (section 6A) explains what then happens to your group entries.

5. The AI money coach and receipt reading

5.1 The coach answers questions about your household's own records, and writes a short weekly check-in. Receipt reading suggests the lines on a receipt and the envelope each line belongs in. Both use AI models from other companies (see the Privacy Notice). Both are optional. You can use the coach and read receipts you upload only if you have turned on AI yourself. If any one member of a household has turned on AI, the weekly check-in and the reading of receipts emailed to that household use AI for the whole household, including entries made by members who have not turned it on. Settings shows whether AI is on for each household and who turned it on. Your private pocket uses AI only if you have turned it on yourself.

5.2 The coach is not a financial adviser. Its answers are general suggestions based on your records, and they can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. Receipt suggestions are recorded only when you confirm them, so check the lines and amounts first.

5.3 We limit how many coach questions and receipts a household can use each day.

6. The API and connected tools

6.1 You can create API tokens so that a tool or AI agent you choose can read and record entries for you. A token can see everything your account can see, including your households' records. Give a token only to tools you trust, and revoke it in Settings when you stop using it.

6.2 What a tool does with your token is your responsibility, and that tool's own terms apply to it. It is not our responsibility, unless the problem is caused by a fault in Dura.

7. Fair use

You must not: break the law with Dura; try to get into another household or account; attack, overload or scrape Dura; get round its limits; upload malware or anything that is not a receipt to the receipt tools; or use Dura to harass or deceive anyone.

8. Your records and our rights

8.1 Your records are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run Dura for you and your household, as the Privacy Notice explains. We do not sell them and we do not use them for advertising.

8.2 Dura's software, design, name and logo belong to us. You may use Dura but not copy it or build a competing product from it.

9. Price

Dura is free to use at present. If we decide to charge for Dura or any part of it, we will tell you at least 30 days before any charge applies, and you will not pay anything unless you agree to it. Any charge will be a flat fee for using Dura. It will never depend on the size of a loan, an interest rate or a group's savings.

10. Closing your account

10.1 You can leave a household at any time in Settings. You can close your Dura account in Settings (Close my account) or by writing to privacy@muchiround.com. Export your records first if you want a copy.

10.2 We may suspend or close an account, household or group if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or other illegal use, or if the law requires it. Except where the law or an investigation prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond and to export your records.

10.3 We may change or stop Dura. If we stop Dura, we will give you at least 30 days' notice to export your records.

11. Our responsibility to you

11.1 We provide Dura with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, Dura is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

11.2 We are not responsible for what other members of your household or group do, or for decisions you make based on your records or on the coach's suggestions, except where the loss is caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence.

11.3 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

11.4 To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims connected with Dura in any 12 months is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us for Dura in those 12 months and (b) USD 100.

11.5 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability or consumer right that the law where you live does not allow us to limit or exclude.

12. Complaints and which law applies

12.1 If you have a complaint about us, write to support@muchiround.com. We will acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to answer fully within 20 working days.

12.2 Governing law. If you live in Zimbabwe, the law of Zimbabwe applies and you may bring proceedings in the Zimbabwean courts. If you live in South Africa, the law of South Africa applies and you may bring proceedings in the South African courts, or refer a consumer complaint to the bodies the law allows. If you live elsewhere, the law of South Africa applies, but you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a security risk requires a faster change. The version number and date at the top will change. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change takes effect.

14. General

These terms and the Dura Privacy Notice are the whole agreement between you and us about Dura. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account. We may transfer these terms to another company in our group, or to a buyer of Dura, provided your rights are not reduced, and we will tell you if this happens.
